Tarsis Humphreys Seminar April 11th

019.JPGThat’s right.  Tarsis Humphreys will be back in Boise on April 6th!  He will do a seminar on April 11th.  Tarsis is a Super Star blackbelt under Fabio “The General” Gurgel.  Tarsis is also a member of Alliance Jiu Jitsu.  You won’t want to miss an opportunity to train and learn from him.  I think that Tarsis will win the World Championships this year!  Stay tuned for more details…

Tarsis has won brown belt World Championships.  2x, 3rd place in the blackbelt Worlds.  PanAms Champ.  3rd at ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships!

Paixao Seminar, March 21st

Fredson Paixao Superfight

Mitch Coats Vs. Fredson Paixao Superfight is confirmed for March 20th!  It will be the main event on the XFS “Train Wreck” card at the Quest arena here in Boise, ID.  We will fight 10 minutes.  It will be a NoGi Submission match.  Fredson Paixao is a 4 X blackbelt BJJ World Champ.  9 X blackbelt BJJ Brazilian National Champ.

030.JPGAlliance Jiu Jitsu/Boise showed up to Idaho’s first BJJ tournament last week (Jan, 24th.)  We fielded 26 competitors!  More than any other school at the tournament.  We walked away with the most medals and the Team Trophy!  The tournament was bigger than anyone expected.  It was a real cluster though…  It started late, was unorganized, and just generally chaotic.  The main thing to remember was that BJJ is growing in Idaho!  Also, we were all there for the love of BJJ!!!  Every major team in Idaho was represented.  We walked away victoriuos!  That’s what matters.

On a side note:  I was supposed to have a 10 min Superfight with Nick Diaz…  He no-showed.  That’s all I’ve got to say about that…
